Gentle Dental Rochester Reviews

I have terrible dental anxiety which kept me from going to a dentist for almost 10 years. I knew I needed a lot of work done so I finally made the appointment here at Gentle Dental and I’m SO glad I did. These people are so incredibly kind and compassionate. They weren’t judgmental or pushy. They explained everything to me in detail and didn’t make me feel bad or rushed. I had cavities filled today for the first time in over 10 years by Dr Israel and his assistant Jalyn and it was as great an experience as one can have at the dentist. They were so kind and calming, took tons of breaks and checked in. Truly could not have had a better experience. I will recommend this place and specifically Dr Israel and Jalyn to anyone who will listen!!

My visit to Gentle Dental was great. Dr. Entezari was super nice and friendly. He patiently listened to all my concerns and explained everything in detail. I asked a lot of questions as I am an engineer and curious. He answered all those questions very patiently and clearly. He is a very smart and talented dentist. He was able to polish my veneer in few minutes and I am very happy with the results. He is very experienced and skilled. He knows what he is doing. I will need to do filling on my teeth and he kindly fit me in his schedule on time. More importantly, he is caring, kind and loves to go beyond and that makes him special. Jalyn, his assistant was super nice and caring. She patiently took the X-Ray of my teeth and was speaking with me the entire time as a great host. She even took care of a wound on my finger that was bleeding for some reason. Not a tooth! Kindness is there. The staff at the front desk are also very nice, friendly and helpful. They are professional and explain things if there are any questions or concerns pertaining to the costs and insurance. Michelle, the office manager, is very nice and professional. She patiently explained to me why the new patient fee was not covered by my insurance since Aetna covered X-Ray only once every 5 years and I had used that once before seeing Gentle Dental. In conclusion, I strongly recommend Dr. Entezari and Gentle Dental folks as they are professional, caring, nice, kind, and helpful!

I don’t remember names, but everyone working there is so nice, even the front desk staff. I got my first root canal done and it was not bad at all, almost less painful than some fillings I’ve gotten in the past. They made me feel comfortable during the process and I could tell they truly cared. They’re also funny which is a bonus!

Our goal is to relieve your discomfort quickly while delivering high-quality, effective treatment tailored to your needs.

Initial Assessment by Our Emergency Dentist

Your visit will begin with a prompt evaluation by one of our experienced emergency dentists. We’ll ask about your symptoms, conduct a visual exam, and use digital X-rays if needed to fully understand the issue. Whether you’re suffering from a toothache, swelling, or trauma, we’ll quickly identify the cause and explain your treatment options clearly—so you know exactly what’s happening and what comes next.

Urgent Dental Treatment Options

Once we’ve diagnosed the problem, we’ll begin treatment right away to relieve your pain and stabilize the issue. Common emergency dental services we offer in Rochester include:

  • Tooth extractions for severely damaged or infected teeth
  • Emergency root canals for abscesses and deep decay
  • Temporary or permanent fillings for broken or lost restorations
  • Repair of cracked, chipped, or broken teeth

Common Dental Emergencies We Treat at Our Rochester Clinic

Our emergency dentists in Rochester, NH are trained to handle a wide range of urgent dental issues with skill and compassion. Whether you're experiencing pain, bleeding, or damage to your teeth, we’re here to provide immediate care that gets you back to comfort and health.

Toothaches

A persistent or sudden toothache may signal an infection, abscess, or nerve damage. Our emergency dentists will diagnose the cause and provide fast relief through treatment options like fillings, root canals, or medication. Don’t ignore the pain—it often indicates a serious issue that needs prompt attention.

Chipped or Cracked Teeth

Accidents or biting into hard foods can result in a chipped or fractured tooth. Even if it doesn’t hurt right away, a crack can expose nerves or lead to infection. We offer same-day repairs using dental bonding, crowns, or veneers depending on the severity of the damage.

Knocked-Out Teeth

Time is critical when a tooth gets knocked out. If you act quickly, our Rochester emergency dental team may be able to reimplant it. We’ll guide you through immediate steps and perform urgent care to maximize your chances of saving the tooth.

Gum Injuries

Bleeding, swollen, or injured gums from trauma or sharp objects can be painful and may lead to infection. Our emergency dental team can assess the damage, stop the bleeding, and recommend treatment to promote healing and prevent complications.

Missing Fillings or Crowns

Lost fillings or crowns can expose sensitive areas of your tooth and lead to discomfort or decay. We provide immediate replacements or temporary fixes to protect the tooth until a permanent solution is completed.

How to Handle a Dental Emergency

Dental emergencies can be stressful—but knowing what to do can make a big difference. Whether you’re dealing with sudden pain, trauma, or swelling, following the right steps before you reach our Rochester emergency dentist can help preserve your oral health and improve treatment outcomes.

Immediate Steps to Take

  • Toothache: Rinse your mouth with warm salt water and use a cold compress to reduce swelling. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gums.
  • Knocked-Out Tooth: Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and place it back in the socket if possible. If not, store it in milk or saliva and bring it with you immediately.
  • Broken or Cracked Tooth: Rinse with warm water and use gauze for bleeding. Apply a cold compress to control swelling.
  • Lost Filling or Crown: Keep the area clean and avoid chewing on that side. Temporary dental cement (from a pharmacy) can protect the area until you’re treated.
  • Bleeding Gums or Soft Tissue Injuries: Apply pressure with clean gauze and seek immediate care if bleeding doesn’t stop.

These actions won’t replace professional care—but they can help minimize damage before you reach our emergency dental office in Rochester.

Preparing for Your Visit

  • Bring your ID and insurance card (if applicable).
  • Prepare a brief history of your symptoms: When did the pain or injury begin? How severe is it? What actions (like biting or temperature changes) trigger it?
  • Bring any dislodged dental material, like a lost crown or broken tooth.
  • List your current medications and any allergies.
  • If applicable, take a photo of the injury or swelling before coming in—it can help us evaluate the progression.

The more we know, the better we can help you. Our team is here to guide you through every step with compassion and urgency.
