Dr. Leyao Shen

Dr. Leyao Shen is a general dentist and current Periodontology resident at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he developed a strong interest in periodontal health, dental implants, and regenerative dentistry. Before dental school, Dr. Shen earned his PhD in Cell Biology from Duke University and conducted research in bone biology and tissue regeneration. He is passionate about providing comprehensive, evidence-based dental care while making patients feel comfortable and well cared for. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym, reading, and exploring new places.
