I wanted to take a moment to share my positive experience at Gentle Dental Arlington, where I've been a patient for many years. Despite some high turnover in management in the past, I've seen the team stabilize under the leadership of Dr. Van de Rydt. His new team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which has significantly improved my visits.
Nancy, Dr. Van de Rydt's assistant, is particularly noteworthy for her vast knowledge and productivity. It's always comforting to know that I'm in good hands when she's around.
Additionally, I want to commend Dr. Klimashov, the oral surgeon, who has performed three dental implants for me. His expertise and skill are unmatched, and I genuinely appreciate the care and attention he provides.
Overall, I hardly mind going to the dentist anymore, knowing that Dr. Van de Rydt and his fantastic team are there to take good care of me.
Thank you for continuing to provide such excellent service. It truly makes a difference.

At our pediatric dental practice, we’ve proudly served the Arlington community for over a decade. From your child’s very first tooth to their growing smile, we’ve been here every step of the way—providing gentle, expert care in a fun and welcoming environment.
Our team is deeply rooted in the community, supporting local schools, participating in health fairs, and building lasting relationships with families who trust us to care for their children’s dental health.
We know a child’s first dental visit is a big milestone—for both kids and parents. During this appointment, we focus on making your child feel safe and comfortable. You can expect a gentle examination, a fun introduction to our dental tools, and helpful tips on brushing, nutrition, and caring for your child’s smile at home.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see a dentist by their first birthday or when their first tooth appears. Early visits help us detect issues early, establish healthy habits, and ensure your child grows up with a positive attitude toward dental care.
We offer a full range of pediatric dental care designed to meet the unique needs of growing smiles—from prevention to specialized treatments.
Prevention is the foundation of lifelong oral health. We provide routine cleanings, dental exams, fluoride treatments, and protective sealants to keep your child’s teeth healthy and cavity-free. These early interventions help avoid more complex dental issues down the road.
If your child develops a cavity or dental damage, we offer gentle, effective solutions. Our restorative treatments include tooth-colored fillings, stainless steel crowns, and space maintainers—each tailored to restore function and comfort with minimal stress.
For children experiencing feeding issues or speech delays caused by tongue- or lip-ties, we offer laser frenectomy procedures. This minimally invasive treatment uses laser technology to gently release the tissue, resulting in quicker healing and less discomfort compared to traditional methods.
We understand that some children may feel nervous about dental visits. That’s why we provide safe sedation options—including nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) and oral conscious sedation—to help your child stay calm and relaxed throughout their procedure.
Our pediatric dentists are specially trained to work with children of all ages, including those with special healthcare needs. Their expertise ensures your child receives age-appropriate, compassionate care tailored to their developmental stage.
We’ve created a space that’s designed just for kids—with colorful décor, fun games, and movie screens in treatment rooms—to make each visit something your child can look forward to.
We use state-of-the-art technology like digital X-rays (with reduced radiation), intraoral cameras, and paperless records to provide efficient, accurate care while keeping your child comfortable.
We’re proud to be trusted by families throughout Arlington. Don’t just take our word for it—see what other parents are saying about their experience with our team and the care their children received.
Everyone deserves access to quality dental care. That’s why we offer flexible payment options and affordable membership plans to make pediatric dentistry accessible for all families—whether or not you have insurance.
Our Arlington pediatric dental team specializes in gentle, comprehensive care for children of all ages. From first checkups to advanced treatments, we make every visit stress-free and fun—helping your child build healthy habits for life.
It is recommended for your child to have their first dental visit by their first birthday or when their first tooth emerges.
The first visit is typically a meet-and-greet, a gentle examination, and an introduction to proper dental hygiene.
Encouraging a positive attitude about dental visits and discussing what will happen can help ease their anxiety.
Dental sealants are a protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth to prevent cavities.
Yes, we provide various sedation options to ensure your child is comfortable during their dental procedures.
