Sara the hygienist was fantastic. Great skill. Thorough but not uncomfortable at any point. Most importantly, she hat outstanding communication skills. Explained in appropriate detail what each procedure would entail and made sure I was on board with the treatment. She also made sure that I knew how to stop her mid procedure in case I needed an adjustment to get more comfortable. An excellent experience.
Going to the dentist can be a nervous experience but they always make me feel relaxed at Gentle Dental Belmont. The new hygienist Sarah was very nice and friendly and did a great job with my teeth.
Dr Cucerov and Kalpana are amazing. So gentle in all they do. Gentle dental is the right name for this office!!! I am very happy to have used their services!
Back teeth often have deep grooves that can be difficult to clean completely with a toothbrush. Dental sealants cover these areas and create a smoother protective surface.
Sealants work alongside regular brushing, flossing, fluoride, professional cleanings, and routine dental exams. Patients looking for dental sealants in Belmont can schedule an evaluation to determine whether sealants are suitable for their teeth.
Dental sealants may be recommended for children, teens, or adults who have teeth with deep grooves or a higher risk of cavities.
They may be especially helpful for:
Your dentist can examine your teeth and determine whether sealants are appropriate.
Children's permanent molars can be more vulnerable to decay because food and plaque can become trapped in the grooves of the teeth.
Pediatric dental sealants in Belmont can provide extra protection during the years when children are still developing consistent brushing and flossing habits.
Parents looking for dental sealants for kids in Belmont can schedule an appointment at Gentle Dental Belmont to determine whether their child's teeth would benefit from sealants.
Dental sealant placement is generally quick and does not require removing healthy tooth structure.
The dentist cleans and examines the tooth to make sure sealant placement is appropriate.
The tooth is prepared and kept dry before the sealant material is placed over the pits and grooves.
A curing light may be used to harden the material and bond it securely to the tooth.
Dental sealants can protect teeth for several years, although they may gradually wear down over time.
During routine dental visits, your dentist can check the condition of existing sealants and repair or replace them when needed.
