I have been a patient in several practices in the office over the past few years. I have cleanings done there and the staff is gentle and friendly. I am a patient in the orthodontic practice. Dr. Bahadoran worked with me, using Invisalign, to realign my bite after it became misaligned after using a sleep apnea mouth appliance for years. I can now chew again. She also worked with Dr. Millen to create a new crown for an implant to further improve my bite. This was all very complex and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Goldberg, the periodontist, performed a cleaning of an infected implant, which is now problem-free. I enthusiastically recommend this office. All the practices communicate with each other and patients receive quality cost-effective care.
Had a couple of crowns break on vacation last week. Made an appointment with Dr. Kyle LaPage at Gentle Dental. Left with temps and will get the permanents in two weeks. Very impressed with how quickly this got done. Also a shoutout to Dr. LaPage for an excellent job and kind and humorous manner.
I broke a tooth over the weekend and called Monday and was given an appointment same day, the excellent dentist explained the process to remove most of the remaining tooth and fit a temporary crown, and make a cast for the permanent crown to be fitted in two weeks. Treatment was quick, effective and pain free
Before recommending dental implants, your dentist will evaluate the treatment area and your overall oral health.
Factors considered may include:
Dental X-rays or other imaging may also be used to help plan implant placement.
Dental implant treatment typically involves several stages.
Your dentist examines your teeth, gums, and jawbone and develops a personalized treatment plan.
The dental implant is positioned in the jawbone and given time to heal and integrate with the surrounding bone.
After healing, a crown, bridge, or another appropriate restoration is attached to restore the missing tooth or teeth.
Dental implants require adequate jawbone for support. If there is not enough bone at the implant site, your dentist may recommend bone grafting before or during implant treatment.
Not every patient needs a bone graft. Your dentist will evaluate the treatment area and explain whether additional preparation is necessary.
For a single missing tooth, an implant may support an individual dental crown.
If several teeth are missing, dental implants may support multiple restorations or an implant-supported bridge.
Patients who currently wear dentures may also be evaluated for certain implant-supported options that can provide additional stability.
Choosing the right tooth replacement option starts with a complete evaluation. At Gentle Dental Boston, our team considers your missing teeth, gums, jawbone health, and long-term dental needs when developing your treatment plan.
Whether you need to replace one tooth or several missing teeth, we can help you understand your available restorative options.
