Dr. Mahshid Bahadoran completed her Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Orthodontics specialty at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Prior to starting the Orthodontics specialty, she completed her General Practice Residency at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bahadoran also earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 and 2010, respectively.
Her four-year Orthodontics residency prepared her to confidently treat all ranges of malocclusions. Dr. Bahadoran is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and was ranked as a preferred Invisalign provider. She is also proficient in treatments that include interceptive, comprehensive adult and adolescents, functional appliances, correction of anterior open-bite using TAD, Invisalign, Lingual braces, sleep apnea appliances, splint therapy for TMD treatment, and accelerated orthodontics.
Dr. Bahadoran’s childhood scrapbook is filled with memories of her grandfather, who was one of the pioneer dentists in her homeland. He loved his work and raised her to appreciate dentistry and to value the patient-dentist relationship. Dr. Bahadoran’s grandfather’s office hosted the Orphanage Institution, where needy children could come for dental care. The memories she has of her grandfather made her proud to pursue a career in dentistry. Her fascination with orthodontics increased as she positively impacted her patients' appearances, bringing smiles to their faces.
